i adored the scenery, being outdoors, amusing chatter, the puppies/yaks and ponies, my hot water bottles, thermals, having 3 snickers and a whole pack of pringles as a starter, playing cards with “lucky card” and co, looking back at the hills we conquered, seeing the memorials, feeling like the size of a pea and gasping at the first sight of everest.

i’m missing my fellow trekkers, being called sam and the constant innuendos, the legendary DR, rrrrrrrrrrum punch, dentist chairing the porters, nepali dancing, the feeling of the first shower and the clean air.

i am not missing ice falling on me from the inside of the tent roof in the morning, the lack of loo and shower, my frozen baby wipes, my frozen water bottles, the repetition of “who an earth wrote the packing list and have they ever been to everest” “why are we doing this in january and camping when it’s the coldest time of year” dirt under my nails that was unremovable, noodle soup/spam and cold beans, not being warm for 14 days, aching legs, the 7lbs i lost, leaving my sleeping bag during the night and shouts of “bed tea”.

and we were right, it doesn’t matter how we explain it or how many times, no one understands the severity of storm day!

can i also please get a t-shirt, i am a size 10/12 so a medium or so!

amazing idea, thanks so much!
